Biography of Lindsey Davis

Birmingham, an industrial town in the middle of Great Britain. A date? Well, I have seen it somewhere, but I’m not going to mention it – besides, it is impolite to ask a Lady’s age!

English degree at Oxford University.

Lindsey worked in the Civil Service (government employee).

Lindsey now writes full-time, enabling us to enjoy the exploits of Marcus Didius Falco. She also gives talks and does book-signing tours when not busy writing.

  • Author’s Club Prize for “Best First Novel“.
  • Crime Writers Association (CWA): Dagger in the Library (1995) for being an author “whose work has given most pleasure”.
  • CWA: Ellis Peters Historical Dagger (the first ever time this award was given).
  • Short listed: Georgette Heyer Prize for two unpublished works (pre-Falco).
