Biography of Lindsey Davis
Birmingham, an industrial town in the middle of Great Britain. A date? Well, I have seen it somewhere, but I’m not going to mention it – besides, it is impolite to ask a Lady’s age!
English degree at Oxford University.
Lindsey worked in the Civil Service (government employee).
Lindsey now writes full-time, enabling us to enjoy the exploits of Marcus Didius Falco. She also gives talks and does book-signing tours when not busy writing.
- Author’s Club Prize for “Best First Novel“.
- Crime Writers Association (CWA): Dagger in the Library (1995) for being an author “whose work has given most pleasure”.
- CWA: Ellis Peters Historical Dagger (the first ever time this award was given).
- Short listed: Georgette Heyer Prize for two unpublished works (pre-Falco).
You can learn more about Lindsey Davis in an interview by Ginny Lindzey of the Texas Classical Association.
Lindsey Davis also has her own official web site (http://www.lindseydavis.co.uk/) which has much more about herself (including sounds and pictures!) and a post bag forum where you can ask questions.
